McLellan Book Festival - Saturday 5 September
Jim Crumley will be at the McLellan Book Festival on the Island of Arran on Saturday September 5th at 11a.m. The event is will be in Brodick Town Hall and Jim will talk about his newest book Symphonic – Harmony in Nature and Why It Matters. The book opens with a chapter entitled A Dream of Everest and ends with A Dream of Schiehallion. In between, it explores landscape and wildlife issues from Alaska to Scandinavia, Shetland to Lindisfarne, the Cairngorms to the Trossachs and much more besides.
Words of the Wild book festival - saturday 3 October
Jim will also be at the first ever Words of the Wild Book Festival organised by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. His talk about the new edition of his book The Last Wolf is at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh’s Netherbow Theatre on Saturday October 3rd at 4p.m. The Last Wolf was originally published in 2010, and a new Introduction reflects on how rewilding has since become a much hotter topic in Scotland, and how wolves have made substantial inroads in mainland Europe.
